Financial FAQ's
What if we have Infertility Insurance?
You are fortunate to have infertility insurance since your costs will be limited to your co-pays and deductibles. Your insurance company will be billed according to the CPT coding system they require. What if our cycle is canceled for any reason after it begins? You will only be charged for actual services provided plus a $250 cycle management fee.
What if I need financial help?
We now have Capital One medical loans through our office that offer very low interest rates. Our Insurance Specialist can give you more information on the financing offered from Capital One. Some couples may qualify for our Assistance Plan. Other options include taking a loan on any whole life insurance policies, getting financial help from family and friends, or securing a second mortgage. Treatment fees may also be paid by credit card.
Can I change my mind?
If you need to reschedule or change your cycle in any way, this can only be done before the cycle starts. Once the cycle has begun, any change would be considered a cancelled cycle. If you change to another cycle plan, we will have to proceed according to the required testing and qualifications of that plan and, once done, a new cycle fee will be required. (See Non-Refundable Cycle Registration Fee information below)
What is the Non-Refundable Cycle Registration Fee?
When a cycle is scheduled, a Non-refundable Cycle Registration Fee of $1500 is required (whether you have insurance coverage or not) in order to reserve the cycle dates. Only a specific number of cycles can be scheduled, and each cycle must be planned two months in advance. Cycle dates cancelled within 60 days of the cycle start date cannot be given to another patient because of the time it takes to get couples into cycling. Therefore, if a patient cancels a cycle within 60 days prior to the cycle start date, the Non-refundable Cycle Registration Fee will not be reimbursed. For patients covered by insurance, this fee will be used towards co-pays and deductibles. Any remaining monies will be returned to the patient as soon as possible after all fees and financial obligations to the Center have been met. When a cycle proceeds as planned, this fee is applied to the total cycle cost and is not an additional charge. Five Hundred dollars ($500) is due at the cycle protocol meeting and the remainder of the fee is due within 10 days.
