Can my infertility condition or genetic problem be transferred to a child?

Yes. In the past, the only way to know about a genetic disease transmitted to the offspring, was the painful experience of having an affected child. Later, chorionic villus sampling and amneocentesis became diagnostic alternative for some diseases, while the baby was still in the uterus. Couples still had to face the uneasy choice of abortion or the difficulties involved with having an affected child.
