Andrology Services

In addition to Sperm freezing and storage, Procreative CryoBank offers other andrology testing.

Semen Analysis

We specialize in male infertility, including facilitating correct diagnosis of etiology. Our testing includes detailed morphology (if applicable), count, motility, volume, liquefaction and pH. Semen analysis offers the most important single indicator of the functional status of the male reproductive tract. Variation in sample quality requires 2-3 samples for an accurate assessment.

Sperm Wash for Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

The objective of this procedure is to increase the concentration of normal, motile sperm in a sample used for IUI to enhance the probability of conception. Prostaglandins and other substances that can cause adverse reactions are removed during the process. Sperm washing is especially beneficial for men experiencing sub-fertility or who want to cryopreserve their specimens.

We follow the guidelines of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and we have our own Medical Advisory Board. We are members of the A.A.T.B. (American Association of Tissue Banks) and meet or exceed their rigorous guidelines. It has been determined that screening procedures substantially reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission through insemination but cannot eliminate such risk entirely. The repetitive and strict nature of the process is intended to produce the safest specimen reasonably possible
